BERLIN TOURS The city & the city
TOUR A: Refugee Movement Tour and Community Resistance (Berlin-Kreuzberg)
We will follow in the footsteps of the Refugee Movement in Berlin, which has been shaping the discussion on refugees and politics in Berlin since 2012. We visit the important places of the resistance and ask what was, what is and what will be. We tell from the perspective of Newcomers what after-effects this movement has left for refugees and non-refugees.
TOUR B: Gentrif..uckyourself – (Anti)-gentricicationtour in Friedrichshain
During the antigentrificationtour we want to observe various facets of the gentrified neighborhood Friedrichshain and visit places of resistance. At these locations people of different communities will describe their means of
resistance to fight against processes of Gentrification and displacement of demographic groups, who in most cases are pushed to the „margins of society“.
TOUR C: Who owns feminism? Who owns queer politics - Kreuzberg city tour
After the workshop 'Who owns Queerfeminism' on the day 'Anders Europäisch?!' we want to look at Kreuzberg, one of Berlins central quarters, from the perspective of marginalized people. How do queer and feminist BPOC organize themselves in Kreuzberg and Berlin and resist a capitalist and imperialistic instrumentalization of feminism and queerness?
TOUR D: Traces of German Colonial History
The aim of this tour is to introduce Berlin as the capital of colonial Germany. The german colonial history is integrated into the urban landsape of Berlin to preserve the colonial heritage without pointing out the violence of colonialsm to this day.
Taking place in the district of Wedding, where the African quarter is located, the tour starts at Ubahn Afrikanische Straße.
TOUR E: Arbeiter*innenbewegung – United we stand
On this tour we want to look at various Workers struggles, whose answer to underpayment, injustice and bad working contitions is to organize. We will visit several locations in the city, where represantatives of different but connected struggles will tell their stories.
